道德经16

    So the sage holds on to one to be the model for the world.
    是以圣人抱一为天下式
    He does not show himself, so he is seen everywhere.
    不自见故明
    He does not assert himself, so he is well-known.
    不自是故彰
    He does not boast, so he wins success.
    不自伐故有功
    He is not proud, so he can lead.
    不自矜故长
    As he contends for nothing, none in the world could contend with him.
    夫唯不争故天下莫能与之争
    Is it not true for the ancients to say, Stooping, you will be preserved?
    古之所谓曲则全者岂虚言哉
    It is indeed the whole truth  which lead to all the ways.
    诚全而归之
