道德经4

道德经4

    The devine law is formless, its use is inexhaustible.
      道冲而用之或不盈
    It is endless, whence come all things;
      渊兮似万物之宗
    Where the sharp is blunted, the knots are united,the glare is softened,all look like dust.
      锉其锐解其纷和其光同其尘
    Apparent, it seems to exist.
       湛兮似或存
    I don't know whence it came, it seems to exist before God.
    吾不知谁之子象帝之先
    Heaven and earth are ruthless, they treat everything as straw or dog .
    天地不仁以万物为刍狗
    The sage is ruthless, he treats everyone as straw or dog.
    圣人不仁以万物为刍狗
    Are not heaven and earth like a pair of bellows?
    天地之间其犹橐迭乎
    Empty, it won't be exhausted;
    虚而不屈gu,
    Forced, more air will come out.
    动而愈出
    If more is said than done, it would be better to take the mean.
    多言数穷不如守中
